At BracketCard, we believe privacy should be the default, not an option. Our simple business card generator is built from the ground up to operate entirely in your web browser. Your contact details never leave your computer.
1. Our Core Privacy Commitment
BracketCard provides a free, minimalist digital business card creator without requiring user registration, email sign-ups, or login credentials. We do not maintain any backend database or server storage for the text, names, emails, websites, or Instagram handles you type into our application.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Because BracketCard runs locally in your web browser, we do not collect or store:
- Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, website addresses, or social media handles.
- User Accounts: There are no usernames, passwords, or profile records created or saved.
- Uploaded Card Content: Your custom text and layout choices exist solely in your local browser state.
- Financial or Payment Information: BracketCard is 100% free; no credit card or billing details are ever requested.
3. How Data Is Handled in Your Browser
When you use BracketCard, your data is processed through two local browser mechanisms:
Memory & React State
As you type into form fields, values update immediately in your browser's RAM memory. Closing or refreshing the page clears this temporary state.
Shareable URL Query Links
If you click "Copy Shareable Link", BracketCard encodes your card settings into the URL address hash/query. This link can be sent to others to reproduce your card design. We never record or store generated links on any server.
4. Image Generation & Exports
When you click Download PNG, BracketCard uses HTML5 Canvas and SVG technologies embedded within your browser to render the high-resolution PNG image directly onto your device. The image file is created on your machine and is never transmitted to an external server.
5. Third-Party Fonts & CDNs
To display custom handwriting typography (Caveat, Kalam, Architects Daughter) and clean UI fonts (IBM Plex Mono, Inter), BracketCard loads stylesheet files from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these font files, standard network request header data (such as IP address and User-Agent) may be logged by Google in accordance with Google Fonts Privacy Policy.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
BracketCard does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or invasive third-party analytics software (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel). We do not track your browsing habits across other websites.
7. Children's Privacy
BracketCard is designed as a general utility tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
8. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements in our web application or changes in regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
